10000 Reasons

Our bell choir this morning played this song.  Knowing the lyrics, they played in my head as I thought of these past few days.

The sun comes up
It’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass
And whatever lies before me
Let me be singing
When the evening comes

Yes, we have a difficult road ahead and can’t be sure what lies before me, but all the love and support expressed for Judy and me these past few days will have me singing (You really don’t want to hear that though).

Thank you all.

Maybe listen to the songwriter instead:  Matt Redman — 10000 Reasons

  1. Just looked at your blog for the first time today, Mark. This will be a great way to keep up to date and share. We’ve known each other a long time and I consider you one of my closest friends. When you hurt, we (Sue and I) hurt. But we also pray and have hope. You’ll be getting your port installed on my 63rd birthday. I’m going to consider that a good omen. We’re going to walk this road with you, Brother, and you can count on us for anything, anytime, anywhere.

  2. I’m sharing your comment about your duet with the bells with my ringers. How kind of you to add another dimension to their gift at worship by sharing the lyrics in this posting. Keep singing Mark — if only heard and felt in the depths of your heart — keep singing! It carried Martin Luther through his highs and lows of life and all the points between. Blessings to you, my friend.

  3. Mark…I love those lyrics. Keep them in your heart and mind. The words are beautiful and so is He that the writer is praising.
